Tara Taylor brings over 15 years of real estate experience to Laverty Chacon, in her position as commercial property manager. Tara began her career in residential property management, quickly advancing to travel the country as the company’s Training Coordinator, then eventually a Regional Manager. She expanded into commercial property management and went on to manage almost every type of property in every circumstance, from an office building in receivership to large, new-construction retail centers. Tara specialized in project management, playing a key role in several development and re-development projects. Seeking a new challenge, Tara obtained her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2005 and opened her own small property management company, where she managed a variety of real estate and completed consulting projects for larger firms. She was then invited to manage the operations of a sales organization and went on to operate one of the largest security dealerships in the nation for several years.
Tara served in several capacities on the Board of Directors for the Rental Housing Association in Sacramento, California, and later advised a major security alarm monitoring company through her position on their Dealer Council. Tara’s greatest achievement is raising her daughter on her own. Tara believed early on, as a career woman and parent, that single mothers can be great parents and achieve “success”. Based on this belief, she founded the local non-profit organization Single Mom Strong, where she serves as the Managing Director.
With her free time, Tara coaches women’s boot camps, runs half-marathons and continuously advances her education. Tara earned an Associate’s degree from Sierra College and is currently attending University of Laverne, finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
