Tanner was brought to Laverty Real Estate in 2004 as part of an expansion effort. The addition of Tanner allowed the company to provide Brokerage Services such as Seller/Buyer Representation and Tenant Representation. After two years of demonstrated success, Tanner and partner Marc Chacón took ownership of the company and continue to steer it forward under its new name, Laverty Chacón Commercial Real Estate.

Tanner is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Candidate. He continues to expand his knowledge through graduate level courses in financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate.

Tanner is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate in Sacramento, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. He is Chairman of Roseville Connects, an organization dedicated to the professional and workforce development of the Roseville area’s young professionals.

Prior to joining Laverty Real Estate, Tanner was the Sales & Marketing Director for the Western Region of Kip Prahl Associates (KPA), a nationwide environmental and safety consulting firm. Tanner traveled the country negotiating national contracts and was KPA’s top producer for over two and a half years before leaving to join Laverty Real Estate.

Tanner received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from San Diego State University and graduated with Distinction upon the "recommendation of his professors and by doing superior work in Economics". During that time he also accumulated extensive studies in Mandarin Chinese, Psychology and Philosophy.

A native of Roseville, California, Tanner enjoys playing basketball and golf, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and skiing.

Marc was brought to Laverty Real Estate in 2004 in order to expand and develop its management, leasing and sales operations. Marc specializes particularly in the leasing and management of office, retail, and industrial properties. The results of Marc’s work in his first couple of years led to the acquisition of the company, along with partner Tanner Laverty. At that time the business took on its new name, Laverty Chacón Commercial Real Estate.

Marc earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds a California Real Estate Brokers License and is a CPM (Certified Property Manager) Candidate. The CPM designation is one of the premier credentials in the industry, and symbolizes the highest in ethics, education, and professional experience.

Marc is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate in Sacramento and is involved in the Roseville and Lincoln Chambers of Commerce.

Prior to joining Laverty Real Estate, Marc was a Senior Sales Representative for Alcon Laboratories, where he assisted in the training of newly hired representatives nationwide. Marc was consistently a "Top 15% Producer" for each of the five years he worked for Alcon.

Marc now lives in Lincoln, California with his beautiful wife and likes to play sports, spend time with friends and family, and travel.

Jan has been an active commercial and investment real estate professional for over 30 years, involved in every facet of the commercial real estate business; property sales and acquisitions, leasing and property management. He has successfully operated his own real estate company since 1980, predominantly in the Northern California area. Most recently Jan’s focus has been on identifying large commercial buildings for conversion to commercial condominium units.

A native of Iowa, Jan received a Bachelor’s degree in General Business Administration from Arizona State University. Following his education he served his country for four years as a U.S. Naval line officer which led to his establishing roots in California. It was during that time that he met and married his wonderful wife, Beverly, in San Francisco. There they began raising their two children.

For four years Jan worked for Cheesebrough Ponds, selling medical supplies to hospitals. In 1974 he started his real estate career with Coldwell Banker. Six years later Jan opened his own company on Union Street in San Francisco, specializing in investment properties. In 1982 he brought his family to the Sacramento area, where he has remained since.

Jan enjoys boating, skiing, hot rods, sand railing, and golfing.

Kim came to Laverty Chacon Commercial Real Estate in the summer of 2007 to administer the general bookkeeping and recordkeeping responsibilities for their property management clients. She performs all of the accounts receivables and payables, check processing, bank deposit preparation, bank statement reconciliations, report preparation, 1099s and budgeting.

Kimberly earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from San Jose State University. She also is a licensed real estate agent.

Prior to joining Laverty Chacon, Kim was the accountant for a commercial mortgage company and was heavily involved with the financial aspects of the company and their investors. She took a few years off to raise her kids and during that time she was buying and selling real estate with Century 21.

Kim was born and raised in the bay area, and moved here with her husband in 1999. She enjoys hiking, running, camping and being with her family and friends.
